The great shark chase

2015

A project devised by Monty to track the large predators that follow South Africa’s Sardine Run. Seadog once again provided all marine support and underwater filming capabilities, in a co-production with our old friends, Tigress.

Lost Worlds

2014

Seadog provided all aerial filming support for this four-part series, exploring regions of the world that had never been previously filmed. This included filming in deep cave systems in Borneo, as well as capturing the first ever footage of two mystical waterfalls in Guyana.

Monty Halls’ Dive Mysteries

2013

Seadog’s most ambitious project to date, working in co-production with Tigress. Over the course of a year, Seadog provided all marine, diving, and underwater filming support telling the story of four expeditions to Namibia, Egypt, America and Japan in an attempt to solve some of the lingering mysteries of the underwater world.

The Fisherman’s Apprentice

2012

Filmed by Indus, Seadog provided the underwater filming sequences for this five-part series which Monty also presented. The series told the tale of small boat fishermen in the UK, and for the diving and underwater sequences required filming from Seadog’s RIB and use of a full HSE qualified team.

Springwatch – Cuttlefish off Babbacombe

2012

A short film charting the arrival of cuttlefish in Spring in the shallow waters off Babbacombe Bay in South Devon. The film aired (ironically) in Autumn of that year, baffling many an aspiring marine biologist.

Monty Halls’ Great Irish Escape

2011

Seadog provided boat cover and consultation for a series that explored the seas around Connemara off the coast of Ireland. Monty worked as a whale and dolphin conservation officer for this series, meaning Seadog was intimately involved in managing the demands of filming both above and below the water.

Once again providing all aspects of marine cover, including underwater filming, for marine wildlife sequences during this six-part series filmed in the wild waters of the Outer Hebrides over the Winter months.

2009

Five episodes for BBC2 following Monty and Reuben learning to live on the west coast of Scotland, exploring the Inner Hebrides and converting a ruined building into a home. Seadog provided all marine support & underwater filming capabilities.
